Lorenzo Mena is a multi-instrumentalist, music producer, composer, and sound therapist born in Madrid and based in Berlin since 2020.
After a career as a drummer and percussionist in several projects in Madrid, he decided to leave everything behind and dedicate himself to traveling and experimenting with street music, seeking a more direct connection with audiences outside the traditional music industry.
He became one of the pioneers of street drumming, gaining international visibility with his unique percussion setup made from recycled materials. What began in the Madrid metro eventually took him to streets across Europe and to some of the world’s most important street art and music festivals.
After six nomadic years living and traveling in his camper van, he settled in the French city of Lille in 2018. There, after a lifetime as an instrumentalist, he began composing and producing his own electronic music, exploring sound not only as an artistic medium but also as a therapeutic and transformative tool.
During this period, he developed a deep interest in synthesizers and drum machines, studying the mathematics and architecture of sound and its impact on human health.
In 2020, after moving to Berlin, he released his first electronic music singles and began experimenting with musique concrète, developing a growing fascination with the sounds of everyday objects and natural elements such as water, wind, and fire etc…This exploration led him to create a live electronic set that combines synthesizers and drum machines with sounds generated live through objects and found materials.
Alongside this work, he continued his experimental exploration of percussion using recycled materials.
In 2024, Lorenzo began producing ambient music and developing his own concept "Deep Sonic Reset", sessions using analog synthesizers, applying his ongoing research into sound as a therapeutic medium while discovering a new form of artistic expression through immersive ambient soundscapes.
Today he divides his time between live performances, music production for different projects, and his ongoing studies in neuroscience and sound applied to therapeutic practice.
